MSA Latchways Vertical Ladder System Kits provide an easy-to-install solution when fall protection is necessary for climbing activities on fixed ladders. A vertical lifeline allows movement up and down the entire height of the line, eliminating the need to disconnect and find new tie-off points while ascending or descending a ladder. In the event of a fall, the climbing device automatically engages the vertical lifeline and locks, arresting the fall and potentially saving a life.
These vertical ladder kits come in multiple lengths for different ladder heights, can be adapted to various rung shapes and sizes and must be used in conjunction with an approved climbing device like the LadderLatch™.
The Latchways LadderLatch is SOLD SEPARATELY.
Extension Posts are necessary for ladders where the top rung does not give the necessary clearance required to step on to the surface area. The user will need additional height for the fixed ladder in order to step onto the surface area and detach properly.

ANSI-compliant Competent Person training
This is a two-day ANSI-compliant program that combines classroom learning with practical exercises, equipping participants to assess fall hazards, select appropriate systems, and oversee safe work practices at height. When job sites require Competent Person certification, a training that meets the ANSI guidelines for in-person 16-hour training is almost always what they mean. Cheap "OSHA compliant" online-only courses will not meet these requirements.
Instruction is delivered by experienced fall protection professionals who bring real-world scenarios into the classroom.
By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to serve as their organization’s designated Competent Person, capable of identifying hazards and making informed decisions about fall protection solutions.
Duration: 16 hours across two days
Location: Diversified Fall Protection — Holly Springs, NC
Capacity: Limited to 12 participants
Cost: $800 per attendee
What's included
Classroom and hands-on instruction
Course materials and job aids
Discount code for our partner hotels
Continental breakfast, lunch, and beverages each day*
Upon passing, students will receive a Competent Person card
